Job Description

Summary:

The Vehicle Acquisition BDC Specialist is responsible for handling inbound consumer leads from Kelley Blue Book, CarGurus, and other digital buying platforms from customers interested in selling or trading their vehicle.

The primary focus of this role is to engage with vehicle sellers, gather accurate vehicle information, and convert inbound interest into scheduled appraisal appointments for the used car buying team. This is a BDC-style role focused on vehicle acquisition, not retail vehicle sales.

This position plays a key role in growing used vehicle inventory and improving lead efficiency. The Vehicle Acquisition BDC Specialist is expected to deliver a professional, transparent customer experience while using CRM and lead management tools to track, follow up, and convert buying leads. Ongoing training is provided on systems, call handling, and buying workflow.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to inbound calls, texts, and internet leads from customers looking to sell or trade their vehicleEngage customers to gather vehicle details including VIN, mileage, condition, ownership, and payoff informationSet and confirm appraisal appointments for the used car buying teamConduct consistent follow-up on active and aged buying leads to maximize acquisition opportunitiesMaintain accurate lead notes, statuses, and appointment details in the CRMAdhere to structured outreach cadence and response time expectationsPartner with used car management and buying associates to improve lead conversion and efficiencyMeet or exceed performance goals tied to appointments set and vehicles acquired

QualificationsMinimum 1 year of BDC, call center, or sales-focused experienceExperience handling high-volume inbound calls and digital leadsAbility to set priorities, multi-task, and achieve goals in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills, both written and verbalComfortable discussing vehicle condition, basic valuation topics, and appointment settingAll applicants must be authorized to work in the USAAll applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous automotive BDC or eSales experienceExperience working vehicle buying leads (KBB ICO, CarGurus, trade-in or acquisition-focused leads)Bi-lingual
