The Enterprise People Technology team at Walmart Global Tech is responsible for the deployment and adoption of people technology solutions across the enterprise. Our work touches every associate and manager, enabling them to focus on what matters most: serving our customers and members.

About the Role

As a Technical Program Manager, you’ll drive the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional programs by coordinating with Workday functional consultants and Software engineers. You will oversee the planning, execution, and implementation of scalable, robust solutions on the Workday and OpenStack platforms. Your role will be to bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring the adoption, optimization, and modernization of Walmart’s People Technology ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

Program Leadership: Lead end-to-end program management for Workday and related HR technology initiatives, from discovery and requirements gathering through deployment and post-launch support.Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business, engineering, and HR stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives, ensuring successful delivery and adoption of new features.Solution Design & Delivery: Oversee the configuration, integration, and continuous enhancement of Workday Recruiting and Reporting modules; manage full lifecycle implementations across multiple geographies.Project Planning: Develop and manage detailed project plans, resource allocation, risk analysis, and program timelines for multiple concurrent initiatives.Team Guidance: Mentor and coordinate teams of functional and integration specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and technical excellence.Risk & Change Management: Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and manage change processes, supporting business continuity and high system uptime.Quality Assurance: Direct release validations, testing cycles, and post-deployment support, ensuring proactive remediation and data integrity.Operational Excellence: Utilize tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, and Confluence for program tracking, issue management, and reporting.

What You’ll Bring

8+ years of experience delivering HR technology solutions at enterprise scale within Walmart or similar environments.Deep technical expertise in Workday (all modules) and business process management.Proven track record in project/program management, resource planning, risk mitigation, and change management.Technical proficiency in Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence, and Workday Studio, with a solid grasp of cloud-based HR platforms.Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, drive stakeholder engagement, and deliver solutions that create measurable business value.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Growth mindset, with a passion for process optimization, innovation, and continuous improvement.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
