About the Smart TV Engineering Team
Our team is passionate about building high-performance, reliable software for embedded systems. We collaborate across UI, Middleware, and Hardware layers to deliver seamless video and audio experiences. As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in driving technical excellence and innovation, directly impacting Walmart’s digital entertainment strategy.

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and test embedded software for Smart TV platformsIntegrate and optimize video/audio features across device layersEnsure quality and performance for diverse video streams and codecsDevelop unit and system-level tests in a BDD frameworkMentor and train junior engineers

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field10+ years of embedded software development experienceExpertise in C/C++ (C++17+) and embedded system architectureExperience with RTOS/Linux-based systems and resource managementStrong analytical, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills(Preferred) Knowledge of Smart TV standards, HAL, audio/video processing, BDD frameworks, and modern C++ design patterns

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
