The Walmart US eCommerce Marketplace team empowers sellers worldwide to reach millions of buyers. The seller-fulfilled business within Walmart Marketplace is a key part of scaling e-commerce. We build products that connect sellers across the world to buyers shopping in our marketplace, enabling access to our customers to over 350M+ items, and growing selection. Excellence in the end-to-end shipping and delivery experience is the cornerstone of our promise to our sellers and buyers. As a Senior Manager of Data Analytics, you will be instrumental in launching our Machine Learning models and automation initiatives. You'll translate complex data into actionable insights, shape data science roadmaps, , and ultimately improving seller and buyer experience. This role sits at the intersection of Data Science, Analytics, Technology, and Product Management, offering high visibility and the opportunity to directly impact Walmart's eCommerce success. You'll build and scale analytics frameworks, fostering a data-informed culture and influencing strategic decisions at all levels. 

You’ll make an impact by: 
 

Conduct Backtesting & Simulation: Partner with data science team to conduct back-testing and simulation exercises prior to launch of new features and products. Conduct what-if scenarios to drive data-based decision making.  

Optimize Delivery Promises: Identify opportunities of improvement in driving delivery promise accuracy. Develop and implement A/B testing strategies to enhance customer experience.

Building Comprehensive Analytics Frameworks: Develop and maintain robust analytics dashboards and reports to track key delivery performance metrics. Utilize data visualization tools to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.  

Conducting Deep-Dive Analyses: Proactively analyze delivery performance to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth.

Designing and Implementing Experiments: Develop and execute A/B tests and other experiments to measure the impact of new data-science models. Utilize statistical techniques to analyze results and draw meaningful conclusions.  

Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with data science, product, business, and tech teams to ensure data-driven decision-making across the organization.  

Translating Data into Actionable Insights: Communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.  

Developing Predictive Models: Utilize machine learning and statistical modeling techniques to forecast trends, predict customer behavior, and identify potential risks and opportunities.  

Ensuring Data Integrity and Governance: Maintain data quality and consistency by adhering to data governance standards and best practices. Design data models and build pipelines/structure which follow data governance standards and facilitate seamless, timely and fast reporting reducing time to insights.  

Support Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Business review with a focus on actionable insights that influence short, mid-term and long-term strategy. 
 

You’ll sweep us off our feet if:  

You have a proven track record of building data science and analytics models.

You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.  

You have experience with predictive models (XG boost, Neural Networks, Random Forest etc.)  

You are proficient in SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis tools.  

You have experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.  

You are a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and a passion for data-driven decision-making.  

You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and are comfortable with ambiguity.  

You have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

‎ 

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 3: 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
1 year's supervisory experience.
