Senior Director, Corporate Communications – eCommerce

As a key leader in Walmart U.S. Corporate Communications, you will craft and execute innovative strategies that build positive brand perception for Walmart’s eCommerce, Marketplace, and omni-channel innovations—including Online Pickup and Delivery, Site, and AI. You’ll lead integrated communications strategies, always-on storytelling, and cross-functional efforts that amplify Walmart’s voice and highlight our mission, values, and innovative spirit across audiences and platforms.

The eCommerce Communications team is focused on creating and promoting Walmart’s omnichannel narrative. As a member of the team, you’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive excitement and awareness of new digital products and services, ensuring Walmart remains at the forefront of consumers’ minds. This team is ideal for visionary communicators with a passion for storytelling, an eye for detail, and a proven ability to deliver strategic, large-scale communications with precision and impact.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Communications & Project Management

Lead integrated communications for Walmart U.S. eCommerce, Marketplace, Walmart Business, and omni-channel innovations, including leveraging the Chief eCommerce Officer and team to position Walmart as the omni-channel leader.

Oversee promotion of Walmart’s rapidly growing marketplace, highlighting opportunity and growth for third-party sellers while defending Walmart’s reputation as a trusted leader in omni-channel retail.

Develop and execute communications strategies that promote Walmart’s brand voice and build excitement and awareness for new and existing eCommerce services.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partners across Communications, Merchandising, Operations, Tech, and other teams to integrate and amplify messaging.

Work with senior business leaders and diverse stakeholder groups to drive collaboration, consensus, and seamless execution of communication strategies.

Align execution across paid, earned, owned, and shared channels while balancing competing priorities.

Storytelling and Content

Develop messages that enable consistent communications and integration into enterprise and Walmart U.S. communications.

Serve as a corporate spokesperson, delivering impactful statements to the media and maintaining reputation and issues as they arise.

Create proactive, creative storytelling that keeps Walmart’s brand visible across owned platforms and earned channels.

Translate insights and messaging into compelling, customer and seller-focused content.

Measurement and Optimization

Leverage data and audience insights to evaluate campaign impact and recommend ongoing improvements.

Apply learnings to future work and drive continuous refinement.

Technology & Tools

Be a GenAI super user, leveraging digital tools for content development, project management, and performance tracking.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
