About the team:
The Dynamic Inventory team plays a vital role in Walmart’s operations by forecasting product demand and optimizing inventory placement across distribution centers. The team develops advanced ETL and machine learning pipelines to enable precise demand estimation and inventory management. Operating from locations including Sunnyvale and Bangalore, members collaborate to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions. They apply expertise in platform design, API development, and continuous integration to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency, supporting Walmart’s commitment to seamless product availability and meeting customer needs effectively.
What you'll do:
Own scoped feature and model delivery through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support.Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.Integrate AI and ML components to enhance software intelligence and leverage generative AI tools to improve development velocity.Assist in converting high-level designs into detailed, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with platform objectives.Conduct code reviews, debugging, and defect management to ensure software quality and performance.Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and measurable outcomes.Mentor peers and contribute to engineering best practices and innovation initiatives.

Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.Strong experience delivering scoped features or models through collaborative engineering teams.Proficiency in software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, automated testing, and debugging.Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems aligned with platform standards.Skilled in integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development.Demonstrated technical judgment with sound decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.Effective collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Commitment to continuous learning, mentorship, and driving engineering excellence.
