About the Role: We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Director of Strategic Initiatives to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who is impact-focused, cares deeply about economic mobility, and is ready to shape strategies that have long-term, systemic impact. You will lead our efforts to support untapped talent, including Opportunity Youth, Veterans, and frontline workers, helping them find pathways to upward mobility.

What You’ll Do:

Develop and Lead Strategy: Shape the vision and annual operating plan for Walmart.org’s Impact Employment portfolio.

Drive Cross-Functional Initiatives: Lead projects and collaborations focused on workforce innovation and community impact.

Advance Future-of-Work Preparedness: Anticipate the effects of AI, automation, and labor trends to guide our philanthropic investments.

Build and Support High-Performing Ecosystems: Identify and scale community-based organizations and employer collaboratives that focus on mobility for untapped talent.

Manage Delivery and Results: Set workplans and evaluation systems to enable data-driven decision-making and visible outcomes.

Contribute Thought Leadership: Represent Walmart.org in national workforce conversations, share insights, and elevate our position as a leading voice in talent strategies.

Mentor and Lead: Provide leadership and coaching to peers and grantees, fostering a purpose-driven culture of belonging.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
