Our client, an industry leader in gas turbine and rotating equipment manufacturing, is seeking a USA|Fitter/Welder 1 to join their team. As a USA|Fitter/Welder 1, you will be part of the assembly and maintenance department supporting gas turbine overhaul projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and teamwork, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** USA|Fitter/Welder 1 **Location:** Houston, TX **Pay Range:** **Shift:** 6am-6:30pm **What's the Job?** + Perform fitting, tacking, and welding of components according to detailed drawings and welding standards. + Inspect, repair, replace, and maintain mechanical components on gas turbines and compressors. + Work closely with engineering, quality control, and other crafts to ensure precise assembly and repair processes. + Operate cutting rigs, welding machinery, and measuring tools safely and efficiently. + Review and interpret complex assembly instructions, specifications, and blueprints to ensure quality and accuracy. **What's Needed?** + High School Diploma, GED, or 10+ years of relevant stainless steel pipe welding experience; technical certificates and work experience may be considered in lieu of education. + Minimum of 5+ years of experience in assembly of rotating equipment manufacturing or related shop environment. + Experience with welding and cutting tools, gas turbine mechanical work, and overhaul processes preferred. + Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical instructions accurately. + Welding certification, including GTAW (P8 6G), with the ability to pass qualification tests and maintain certifications. **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to work on high-profile gas turbine projects with industry experts. + Potential for full-time employment and career growth within a global organization. + Engagement in a dynamic, safety-focused work environment. + Competitive pay rate aligned with experience and expertise. + Supportive team culture emphasizing safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
