US-Sherman-Material Handler I
Our client, a leading organization in the logistics and distribution industry, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the warehouse operations supporting order fulfillment and shipping processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Material Handler **Location:** Sherman, TX **Pay Range:** $17.50/hr temp-to-perm **Shift:** 2:30PM to 11:00PM (days TBD and OT as needed) **What You’ll Do** + Pack orders in the Parcel, Pack Center, and Flex Center using the Flagship system. + Use packing slips to: + Generate and print move tickets + Break down material + Sort styles + Verify counts + Restock warehouse locations using RF scanners + Verify styles and quantities of picked materials. + Visually inspect products, scan items, and place them into shipping cartons. + Add packing material to prevent damage during shipping. + Place packing lists, content labels, and shipping labels on cartons as needed. + Research and resolve order discrepancies to ensure accuracy. + Maintain quality standards and follow all safety procedures. + Report unsafe conditions and perform duties of equal or lower classification when required. + Perform physical work that requires continuous standing, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling. **Required Qualifications** + Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship. + Must live within **50 miles of Dallas, TX** _(Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt from the distance requirement.)_ **Preferred Skills** + High School Diploma or GED. + One year of experience in a warehouse or distribution center. + Minimum of 6 months operating a forklift, cherry picker, or reach truck. + Ability to work specific schedules and overtime based on customer demand. + Previous forklift and/or order picker operation experience. **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment. + Potential for overtime based on customer demand. + Gain valuable experience in warehouse operations and logistics. + Work with a reputable organization committed to safety and quality. + Competitive pay rate with consistent scheduling. **Upon completion of waiting period associates are eligible for:** + Medical and Prescription Drug Plans + Dental Plan + Supplemental Life Insurance + Short Term Disability Insurance + 401(k) If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
