Our client, a leader in the chemical manufacturing industry, is seeking a Quality Control Scientist to join their team. As a Quality Control Scientist, you will be part of the Quality Control department supporting various functions within the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a commitment to quality and safety, and excellent teamwork abilities which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Quality Control Scientist
**Location:** Norwood, OH
**What's the Job?**
+ Conducting conformance testing for designated raw materials, work-in-process products, and finished goods.
+ Developing methods for standard QC instruments such as HPLC, UPLC, GC, MS, and FTIR.
+ Performing calibration verification of critical lab equipment.
+ Assisting in making and recording pass/fail decisions on materials and documenting results in SAP and LIMS.
+ Maintaining appropriate records for lab and maintenance work while ensuring compliance with established quality requirements.
**What's Needed?**
+ Associate's degree with relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
+ Strong analytical background in techniques such as GC-MS, HPLC-MS, IC, ICP-MS, and Karl Fischer Titration.
+ Experience with SAP and laboratory operations.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with different functions to improve product quality.
+ A strong quality and safety mindset.
