**Assembly Technician – 1st Shift** **Pay Rate:** $17.00/hour **Shift Hours:** 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Lunch: 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM) **Employment Type:** Full-Time **Project-Based:** Yes **Location:** Houston Texas 77067 **Driving Required:** No **Security Clearance Required:** No **Export Control Technology:** No **Site Access Required:** Yes **Position Summary:** We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our team. This role involves assembling fabricated parts, testing and calibrating components, and ensuring all products meet quality and performance standards. **Key Responsibilities:** + Assemble units at floor stations using hand and power tools. + Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet product specifications and tolerances. + Identify and repair units that do not meet quality standards. + Follow detailed instructions and pre-established guidelines. + Work under direct supervision and report to a supervisor or manager. **Qualifications:** + High school diploma or GED **preferred** (not required as of September 1, 2024). + 0–2 years of experience in assembly or a related field. + Familiarity with standard manufacturing practices and procedures. + Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions accurately. **Physical & Work Environment Requirements:** + Light lifting (10–15 lbs) with minimal repetition. + Minimal exposure to machinery, chemicals, biological, or physical risks. **Special Considerations:** + **U.S. Export Control Compliance:** Candidates must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected under asylum/refugee status). + **Pre-Identified Candidate:** No – open to all qualified applicants. + **Education Policy Update (Effective Sept. 1, 2024):** + High school diploma/GED is now a **“We Value”** rather than a **“Must Have”** for B0 roles. + Education verification will no longer be part of the background check for these roles.
