URGENT REQUIREMENT- Material Handler
**Job Title: Material Handler** Job Description A typical day as a Material Handler involves performing cycle counts, data entry, operating forklifts, working as a saw operator, and managing computer systems efficiently. Safety is the top priority at all times. Responsibilities + Conduct cycle counts and ensure accurate data entry. + Operate forklifts and saws safely and efficiently. + Utilize computer systems for inventory and production tasks. + Maintain a high level of safety awareness at all times. Essential Skills + Experience in forklift operation and warehouse environments. + Knowledge of material handling and inventory control. + Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite. + Ability to read and interpret measurements using a ruler. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma or GED required. + Minimum 1 year of experience in a metals facility or manufacturing-related environment. + Experience with shipping and receiving, packing, and order picking. + Capability to operate pallet jacks and perform general labor tasks. Work Environment The work environment is a warehouse and production facility with high expectations for production numbers and efficiencies. The facility employs 150-160 full-time employees. Dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt, steel-toed shoes, and personal protective equipment provided by the employer. Shifts are structured as follows: 1st shift from 6am-2pm, 2nd shift from 2pm-10pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm-6am. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.20 - $20.20/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
