Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient operations within a warehouse setting. Your day-to-day activities will include cycle counts, data entry, forklift driving, saw operation, and computer systems management. Safety is our top priority, and we emphasize maintaining a safe work environment at all times.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.Conduct cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.Perform data entry tasks related to inventory management.Operate saws and other machinery as needed.Utilize computer systems to support warehouse operations.Prioritize safety in all tasks and adhere to safety protocols.

Essential Skills

Proficient in forklift operation with a strong safety record.BG in warehouse operations and material handling.Basic computer knowledge and math reading skills, including ruler usage.Experience with cycle counting and inventory management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse or production setting, preferably in a metals or manufacturing-related facility.Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and general labor tasks.Experience with inventory control, shipping, and receiving.Proficiency in using pallet jacks and order picking equipment.

Work Environment

This position operates within a production facility and warehouse environment, with a strong emphasis on meeting production numbers and efficiencies. The facility employs 150-160 full-time employees (FTEs). Dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, steel-toed shoes, and personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by the company. Shifts are organized as follows: 1st shift from 6am-2pm, 2nd shift from 2pm-10pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm-6am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.20 - $20.20/hr.
