Job Description
The Manufacturing Specialist plays a crucial role in monitoring and controlling production kettles used to produce industrial grease. This position involves handling and managing chemical raw materials according to defined formulations and procedures, ensuring the quality and consistency of the finished products.
ResponsibilitiesManage raw materials from prestaging through the manufacturing process.Stage raw material chemicals, including pre-weighing, to support production orders.Strictly follow manufacturing processes and formulations to ensure product consistency.Measure and add raw materials in accordance with defined procedures.Operate proper startup and shutdown of manufacturing equipment.Flush and clean kettles and lines according to defined work instructions.Monitor process equipment to ensure proper control.Properly record inventory transactions.Perform in-process testing and understand results.Notify manager of any mechanical or material issues.Maintain a clean and safe work area including trash dock.Understand chemical SDS information, raw material hazards, and safety protocols.Essential SkillsOrganizational skillsTechnology competencyAttention to detailTeamwork - ability to work with othersConscience of product qualityMathematical competencyOperational knowledge of manufacturing equipmentUnderstanding raw material hazards and safety protocolsAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or GEDExperience in petroleum/chemical manufacturing operations preferredUnderstanding of electronic control systems desiredSkill in industrial machinery, chemical testing, chemical inventory managementAbility to operate a forklift and perform computer data entryWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
This position is based in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Maize, Kansas, operating a two-shift schedule from Monday to Friday. The work environment involves exposure to high temperatures and pressures, moving mechanical parts, and occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, requiring safety protocols such as fitted breathing masks and hearing protection. The role demands multitasking and regular physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting heavy objects.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $37440.00/yr.
•\t13 1/3 hours PTO monthly accrual
•\tHealth, dental, vision after 60-day waiting period 90/10 employer/employee split
•\tSTD, life at 1x salary
•\t$1,000 HRA
•\t401k 4.5% at 75% after 1 year
