Job Title: Senior Civil EngineerJob Description The Senior Civil Engineer will play a crucial role in planning, designing, and obtaining permits for civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects. You will work on site/civil engineering design for a variety of projects including mixed-use developments, shopping centers, residential areas, higher education institutions, and federal projects in a dynamic learning environment. Responsibilities + Assist with the preparation and modification of engineering documents, including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and cost estimates using engineering and design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D. + Design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion, and sediment control from concept through completion. + Conduct stormwater management design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, and SWPPP preparation. + Demonstrate experience in land development engineering, integrating geotechnical and environmental engineering. + Perform other duties as requested. Essential Skills + Proficiency in stormwater management design, drainage design, site grading, sediment control, erosion control, and site planning. + Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. + 2-6+ years of professional civil engineering experience in site/civil design, including land development, stormwater management, site grading, and erosion & sediment control. + EIT (Engineer-in-Training) Certification. PE License is preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Local and related civil engineering experience in land development projects. + Technical and proposal writing experience. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Familiarity with current local, state, and federal land use permitting is a plus.
