Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Urban Planner to lead the urban planning aspects of cityside development for multiple airports owned by the Employer. The ideal candidate will play a key role in addressing the aspirations of developers while meeting the growing needs of cityside development. This position requires a professional with a master’s degree in urban planning, aviation sector experience, and a proven track record of 12 to 16 years in urban planning and development.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and prepare the overall urban planning framework for the cityside development of multiple airports.Ensure that the planning aligns with the Employer’s vision, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.Integrate urban design principles to create sustainable, functional, and aesthetically appealing cityside spaces.Address the aspirations and requirements of developers while balancing the growing needs of cityside communities.Conduct stakeholder consultations to align development goals with broader urban planning objectives.Propose innovative solutions to meet the demands of urban growth, transportation, and infrastructure.Develop long-term urban planning strategies to optimize land use, connectivity, and economic potential of cityside areas.Identify opportunities for mixed-use developments, commercial hubs, and community spaces to enhance cityside functionality.Ensure the integration of transport, utilities, and other essential infrastructure into the cityside development plans.Ensure all urban planning initiatives comply with local, regional, and national regulations.Incorporate sustainability and environmental considerations into planning processes.Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation for regulatory approvals and stakeholder reviews.Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure seamless project execution.Act as a liaison between the Employer, developers, and city authorities to foster effective communication and coordination.Provide guidance and oversight to ensure that urban planning goals are achieved on time and within budget.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in urban planning or a related field is mandatory.12 to 16 years of professional experience in urban planning and development.Proven experience in the aviation sector is mandatory, with a strong understanding of airport cityside development.Demonstrated expertise in preparing and implementing large-scale urban planning projects.
