Urban Outfitters is looking for an analytical, collaborative, and customer focused individual to support allocating goods to stores. The Allocator is an operational role working with multiple teams across the organization, including the Planning, Buying, Operations, and Distribution teams. With the key objective of managing inventory at the store level to maximize sales and achieve financial objectives for their respective division and total company.
Role Responsibilities Meet or exceed sales, gross margin and inventory turn goalsExecute the Allocations of initial inventories and in-season replenishment to storesRecap and communicate location and size selling performanceCollaborate with buying team on basic replenishment styles to meet in-stock targetsEnsure timely and accurate execution of new store openingsDevelop knowledge of geographic and store-attribute performance and trends through data analysis and field communicationParticipate in OTB, Strategy, and Hindsight meetings, contributing input on distribution strategiesCollaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices and develop systems knowledgeSupport store needs (inventory/replenishment) as they are communicated from our Store Planning partnersVisit stores on a regular basis to understand site specific opportunities Role Qualifications Minimum 2 years Allocation experience High Proficiency with Microsoft ExcelBasic knowledge of retail math concepts and applicationsStrong statistical analysis skillsStrong communication skillsExcellent organizational, prioritizing and problem-solving skillsAbility to work well within a team environment#LI-LR3
