The Student Programs team is responsible for the acquisition and development of emerging talent. Our focus is on talent in high school, college, graduate programs as well as talent 0-5 years into their career. The work of our team is fast paced and at the forefront of positioning MITRE as an employer of choice. We engage regularly with university and strategic partners across the country. We also hire interns and create best-in-class programs for the students who come to MITRE to gain experience and contribute to MITRE’s growth strategy.
In order for MITRE to deliver on its growth strategy, we work to grow talent in areas where there are capability gaps or where there are new capabilities emerging in our work programs. This role will be critical to accomplishing this mission.
The Student Programs team is also responsible for the planning and coordination of events and activities that attract talent. These events occur both inside MITRE and on location with our Academic partners.
Responsibilities include:
Manage full-lifecycle recruiting for a select group of hiring managers advising them of processesSource candidates from our systems as well as other sources (social media, professional organizations, referrals, etc.)Screen prospective talent to find the those most aligned to MITRE’s early career hiring needsDetermine student’s needs and make offers that position MITRE as the employer of choiceUnderstand and share university recruiting and relations best practicesWork with students through the onboarding and off-boarding processEnsure timely responses for inquiries from hiring managers and interns throughout their tenureActs as a MITRE Brand Ambassador in all areas of the role (internally, externally, and online)Special projects as assigned: Campus recruiting, help with the planning and execution of our summer intern program events, metrics, program and projects supportRequired Qualifications:
