Days Shift - 6am to 6:30pm
Nights Shift - 6pm to 7:30am
Weekend rotations
Holiday Rotation

We specialize in a rapid assessment and treatment of patients when every second counts, particularly during the initial phase of acute illness and trauma. The Barnes-Jewish Hospital Emergency Department is a Level I Trauma facility and a leader in disaster preparedness for the St. Louis region. No one shift is like the other; no one minute is like the next.
**Preferred Qualifications**
**Role Purpose**
The Unit Secretary performs clerical duties supporting the operations of the patient care team.
**Responsibilities**
+ Supports the clinical operations by providing customer service and clerical support.
+ Transcribes physician orders as appropriate with close attention to detail.
+ Notifies appropriate nurse when STAT orders are written or when coordinating tests and procedures. Communicates new orders to the healthcare team as appropriate.
