**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** Join a heavy industrial company specializing in the repair and maintenance of older machines and equipment. Utilize your skills in reading and interpreting blueprints, performing welding tasks, and working with hand tools to keep our machinery running smoothly. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, repair, replacement, and troubleshooting without the need for electrical experience. **Responsibilities** + Perform maintenance and repair on older machinery and equipment. + Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand machine specifications. + Conduct welding tasks as required for equipment repair. + Use hand tools effectively for maintenance tasks. + Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure machine longevity. + Troubleshoot mechanical issues to identify and implement solutions. + Engage in repair and replacement of machine parts as necessary. + Work closely within a large maintenance team. **Essential Skills** + 2-3 years of mechanical experience. + Proficiency in maintenance repair and technician duties. + Experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. + Skills in welding and blueprint interpretation. + Knowledge of industrial, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in PLC troubleshooting. + Hands-on approach to mechanical tasks. **Why Work Here?** Become part of a union shop with excellent benefits, where stability and longevity are key, having been in business for decades.
