**About the Role**
As a CBRE Union Lead Mechanic, you will oversee and support the operation, inspection, and maintenance processes in an assigned facility, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function. You will be responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
**What You’ll Do**
+ Partner with internal teams on complex maintenance and repair efforts
+ Perform inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including HVAC units, boilers, cooling towers, etc.
+ Review and assign work orders to team members; directly complete ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs as needed
+ Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts; report on conditions that impact client occupancy and operations
+ Complete hazard assessments and maintain compliance with state, county, or city ordinances, codes, and laws
+ Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems
+ Demonstrate broad knowledge of your discipline and some knowledge of related disciplines within the function
+ Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations; may persuade others to reach an agreement
+ Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values
+ Impact the quality of your own work and the work of others on the team
+ Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
+ Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding
+ Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of equipment and systems
+ Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks
+ Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
**What You’ll Need**
+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3–4 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered
+ Ability to meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
+ Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems
+ Experience analyzing information and applying standard practices to make judgments
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset
+ Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals
+ Understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards in the maintenance industry

+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
+ DC 3rd class Steam Engineers license is required.
+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
+ Willingness to take a fresh opinion on existing solutions.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the Union Engineer position is $96,220.80 annually [or $46.26 per hour]. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale. This role will provide the following benefits: Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
