This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. **Shift** **: This role will work 40 hours a week, afternoons or nights. Shift times are 3:00PM to 11:00PM or 11:00PM to 7:00AM.** **Responsibilities:** Utilizes advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, etc. Working under limited supervision, monitors building system operations and performance. Utilizes several trade skills such as plumbing, heating and cooling. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** + Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmentalagency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety. + Inspects building systems including boiler rounds, HVAC, andplumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities andachieves environmental conditions prescribed by client. + Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventivemaintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as required. Performsboiler maintenance, boiler rounds, standing watch, and conducts water testing. + Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materialsneeded to complete repair. + Maintains an energy management program to ensure measuresare taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operatingcosts at a minimum. + Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoningadditional assistance as needed. + Performs other duties as assigned. + No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Mayprovide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training tocoworkers. Abilityto respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/orsupervisor. + Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a varietyof concrete variables in situation where only limited standardization exists.Requires intermediate analytical skills. + Use client-issued computer to monitor email, ESS andtraining. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. + Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking,climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. ormore. + Ability to enter a boiler to conduct preventative /corrective maintenance when the boilers are shut down. **Scope of Responsibility** + Decisions made with general understanding of procedures andcompany policies to achieve set results and deadlines. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education may be considered.  + Experience in at least two engineering design cycles including specification,componentselectionand programming. + 2+ years of experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs. + 2+ years of experience with robotics system components and controls. + 2+ years of experience with SCADA systems. + Ability to be available andworka flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays. + Ability to independently solve problems and carry out general instructions in standard situations with limited to no oversight.  + Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.  + Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performanceexpectationsand handle problems.  Preferred Qualifications + 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Control Systems troubleshooting/ programming. + Experience supporting a range of different conveyors and sortation systems. + Experience with robotic maintenance. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.    + Extensive organizational skills with astronginquisitive mindset.  + Advanced math skills.
