**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Union Helper, you will perform technical, and non-technicalgeneral building maintenance, and minor repair duties.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Servicesjob function. They are responsible for providing support, preventivemaintenance, and repairs on mechanical and HVAC equipment and systems.
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Assist the engineering staff in operating thebuilding mechanical and HVAC systems
+ Assist in the maintenance and repairs of allequipment incidental to the operation of the building mechanical and HVACsystems
+ Perform general labor work as assigned includingreceiving deliveries, loading, unloading, moving materials, and putting awaystock.
+ Perform building checks of mechanical areas andlogging conditions during daily rounds
+ Identify and report maintenance hazards or otherproperty condition concerns.
+ This includes, but not limited to sweeping, mopping, and painting.
+ Perform other minor repairs under supervision.
+ Respond quickly to emergency situations,summoning additional assistance as needed.
+ Follow a set procedure in the performance ofrepetitive tasks or job activities.
+ Impact through methods, tasks, and duties whichare clearly defined and followed with little to no discretion.

+ F60 – Fire Guard for Torch Operation
+ G60 – Torch Operation
+ S12 – Citywide Sprinkler System
+ S13 – Standpipe System
+ S14 – Standpipe System, multi zone
+ S95 – Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems
+ F01 – Citywide Fire Guard for Impairment
+ P98 – Supervise Fuel Oil Transfer
+ P99 – Low Pressure Oil Burner Operator
+ High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolledin a 2 or 4-year college program or technical school.
+ May require a valid driver's license.
+ Physical requirements include stooping,standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavyloads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Ability to develop skills to perform basicactivities in own job.
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Organizational skills with an inquisitivemindset.
+ Simple math skills. Ability to calculate simplefigures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

(e) Helpers: Assist the engineer and/or mechanic in theperformance of their duties and perform tasks appropriate to his/her skilllevel outside the presence of an engineer/mechanic as directed by managementand/or engineers/mechanics. The partiesrecognize that management’s hiring and use of helpers is essential to theindustry’s successful future. Theposition of helper is designed to be a step on the path to becoming anengineer. Hence, after January 1, 2011,it is the parties’ intent that the helper classification will not be availableto newly hired helpers on a “career” basis, except on the mutual consent of theEmployer and Union.

The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the Union Helper position is $85,841.60 annually [or $41.27 per hour]. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale. This role will provide the following benefits: Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
