In addition to our core facility and project management capabilities, our platform offers direct access to our Best-in-Class services, including ESG, Security Consulting, Workplace Strategy, and Workplace Experience. **About the Role:** As a CBRE Building Automation Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and low voltage controls components of small to medium-sized buildings, building systems, and equipment. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. **What You’ll Do:** + Perform HVAC Control systems programming, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and preventative maintenance as it is related to mechanical, electrical, and low voltage controls components + Troubleshoot/repair and calibrate building automation system components including but not limited to: actuators (pneumatic and electrical), controllers, VFDs, various sensors and related field devices + Perform point to point verification + PID tuning including completion of final critical adjustments, calibration and commissioning reports on systems following installation, preliminary set up and system tuning. + Experience with varied BAS software/hardware such as but not limited to MetaSys, AutomatedLogic, EnteliWEB, Insight and Modern Niagara Building Controls + Ability to complete graphics creation database management (HMI) + Complete preventive/demand maintenance tasks; input histories if required + Respond to tenant requests and emergencies + Provide system repair recommendations and assist in development of recommended system improvements to client. + Work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and other applicable codes + Knowledge of system architecture, gateways, devices and operations as well as applicable database items needed for basic maintenance and calibration + Publish critical reporting to the team or client including monthly performance and results, corrective actions + Design solutions to prevent reoccurring problems + Participate in review of operating policies/procedures, proposals, projects as required + Ability to understand, alter and recommend continuous improvement strategies for all sequences of operations. + Perform other duties as assigned _*Should any element of this Job Description conflict with the provisions of an applicable collective bargaining agreement, the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement will prevail._ **What You’ll Need:** + Requires 2-3 years of college or technical school (electrical, mechanical, or control engineering) or equivalent combination of education and related practical experience + 3+ years of direct experience working with Building Automation Systems (Candidates with less experience will also be considered) + 3 years of experience maintaining BAS, RTU, AHU, Boilers, VAV, CAV, dampers, fan speeds + Experience in creating/altering and troubleshooting BAS programming in the field + Experience in facilities maintenance in commercial setting will be considered an asset. + Commissioning and start-ups, project management, estimates, negotiation and scheduling + Communication Protocols: BACnet, LON, Modbus, TCP/IP, SMTP, etc. + Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sequence, and applications + Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written) + Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future **Why CBRE?** When you join CBRE, you become part of the global leader in commercial real estate services and investment that helps businesses and people thrive.
