Job Description

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this role involves operating a large truck in our underground mine, transporting material from one location to another. The role offers the opportunity to develop a career in mining & the flexibility and lifestyle of a 50/50 roster, 7 days on / 7 days off alternating between day and night shift (12-hour shifts).

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Operate large vehicles undergroundPre-start and shut down checks on all equipmentLoad and transport materialWorking as a member of a larger teamCommunicating with a wide variety of peopleHousekeeping of vehicles and loading area.

QualificationsA full, clean, current driver’s license and be confident driving a manual vehicleApplicants must have immediate working rights/Visa for New ZealandHave the ability to communicate well within a team environmentHave a high interest in heavy machinery - previous machinery experience well regarded Be a safety conscious individual, committed to maintaining an excellent safety recordPass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
