As a Unarmed Security Officer - Residential Site in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will conduct routine patrols of common areas and grounds, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor check-in. You will assist residents, guests, and staff with clear communication and customer service while documenting concerns and escalating issues as needed. Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors and/or property staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, amenity spaces, exterior grounds and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.Monitor access points and observe for security-related concerns, verify authorization as required and/or direct visitors to appropriate check-in procedures.Respond to incidents, alarms and/or resident concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, document observations and actions and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.Complete accurate reports and logs, communicate notable activity during shift transitions and support customer service requests consistent with post orders.Minimum Requirements:
Must be 21+ years of age.The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.A guard card and/or license is preferred.Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
