Summary of Job Responsibilities:
Provide world class, high quality primary care in an ambulatory clinic in accordance with UHealth policies and standards of practice. Participation in quality and system compliance initiatives. Optional engagements include scholarly activities and institutional service through clinical research, teaching of medical students, and residents.
Outline of responsibilities include but are not Limited to:
Maintain outpatient clinical practice at any of our UHealth ambulatory locations
9 half-day sessions per week
Optional clinical activities at Jackson Memorial Hospital including inpatient wards, medical consultation service and ambulatory resident and student clinic.
Qualifications:
Degree as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
Active internal medicine certification or eligibility by either the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine
Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (a valid Florida medical license is required prior to credentialing)
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:
Expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex illnesses, in health promotion and in disease prevention.
Maintain the educational requirements mandated for state licensing • Compliance with UHealth policies
Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification
Maintain a valid DEA license
