The Ultrasound Tech performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures to include calibration and operation of ultrasound equipment and coordination of patient care activities with other healthcare professionals.
Principal Responsibilities:Schedules and performs ultrasound procedures by performing proper diagnostic scan recognition; maintains quality assurance/improvement standards of procedures.Correlates ultrasound procedures with patient medical history.Maintains patient records and completes patient discharges.Cleans and maintains equipment; ensures stock of supplies by placing orders.QualificationsEducation:High School Diploma/GED RequiredVocational/Technical Diploma, graduate of an accredited ultrasound program requiredWork Experience:2 years Diagnostic ultrasound sonographer requiredLicenses and Certifications:Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technology Sonography Certification – ARRT (S) Upon Hire RequiredBasic Life Support (BLS) Basic Life Support Certification needs to be the AHA Healthcare Provider type only Upon Hire Required
