UI/UX Designer
**Description** We are currently seeking motivated and energetic UI/UX Designer (Journeyman) to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career in Ashburn, VA. **Job Responsibilities** + Duties include conducting user research and usability testing to ensure all designs meet user and client requirements, optimizing services and products for a range of clients, and developing mockups for the design and development teams. + Developing and maintaining design wire-frames and specifications. + Collaborating with visual designers and creative directors to incorporate brand identity. + Communicating screen designs, interaction models, end-to-end experiences, and the target audience to other members of the project team. + Considering the human-computer interface element of a design. + Comparing the user experience of existing applications and working to design better alternatives. + Keeping current with industry trends and competitor products, and communicating design prototypes and ideas to developers. + Working with development teams to design and implement attractive designs while maintaining consistency. + Developing task flows and wireframes based on user needs. **Qualifications** **Required Skills and Experience** + U.S. Citizenship and a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in Adobe, Sketch, Jira, Confluence, Wireframing Tools is required. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to present concepts, ideas, and insights to the project team and clients. + Familiarity with information architecture and interaction design. + Background in project research and management, and a strong portfolio of design projects. + Solid understanding of user experience design fundamentals, such as rules of typography and data visualization techniques. + Must be self-motivated and take initiative to continually meet with team leads. + Demonstrate analytical capability and strong Microsoft Excel Skills. + Strong writing and presentation skills. + Flexibility to work in a constantly changing environment. **Customer Requirements** + Clearance – Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation. + Citizenship – Must be a US Citizen. + Location – This position will require on-site work in Ashburn, VA 5 days per week for the first year of employment.
