About the role

The U.S. Payroll Tax Processing Specialist supports payroll tax operations for the USCAN region, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely resolution of payroll tax issues. This role involves managing payroll tax inputs into Workday, validating data for accuracy, and performing detailed data analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, and potential process improvements.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with payroll systems and reporting tools are essential to succeed in this position. The specialist will collaborate across internal operations teams and partner closely with GE Businesses to resolve issues and maintain payroll tax compliance across U.S. federal and state jurisdictions.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage and validate payroll tax inputs in Workday to ensure accuracy and compliance.Perform payroll tax corrections and troubleshoot issues (e.g., tax balance errors, federal/state discrepancies).Conduct detailed data analysis to identify inconsistencies, trends, and improvement opportunities.Investigate and resolve payroll tax discrepancies by working with federal and state agencies and third‑party providers such as ADP.Maintain accurate documentation and records in payroll systems.Support payroll audits and tax reporting activities.Collaborate with cross‑functional internal teams and GE Businesses to resolve tax‑related issues.Work independently while maintaining clear and effective communication within the USCAN payroll team.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional degree and license required.Proficient English level, this role will be working with USCAN region.+3 years of experience in taxes, payroll or related.Workday Payroll experience (required).Strong MS Excel skills.Data analysis experience.Experience in U.S. payroll tax processing.​​

Experience interacting with government agencies (federal and state).Business or financial analysis background.
