Tsugami Swiss Lathe Operator - 1st Shift - Pay up to $28/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tsugami Swiss Lathe Operator who will plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans. The role involves modifying programs and operating CNC Tsugami swiss lathe, verifying settings, maintaining specifications, and ensuring safe operations. You will maintain equipment through preventive maintenance, document actions, and support organizational goals by exploring opportunities to add value.

Responsibilities

Study work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and specifications to plan machining.Modify programs and operate CNC Tsugami Swiss lathe.Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.Maintain specifications through drilling, grooving, and cutting operations.Detect malfunctions and troubleshoot processes.Adjust and reprogram controls, sharpen, and replace worn tools.Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes.Ensure safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations.Complete preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.Document actions by completing production and quality logs.Communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to maintain continuity among work shifts.Participate in educational opportunities and read technical publications to update job knowledge.Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments and support organizational goals.

Essential Skills

3+ years of Swiss Lathe operation experience1+ years of experience with Tsugami Swiss LatheBlueprint readingQuality inspection utilizing inspection toolsHigh School Diploma or GED

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge in CNC, Mill, Lathe operationsExperience with Fanuc systems

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr.
