**Job Title: Truck / Trailer Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Truck / Trailer Mechanic to join our team, responsible for performing preventative maintenance and general repairs on tractors and trailer units to meet both company and DOT standards. This role includes maintaining all rolling equipment such as front-end loaders, forklifts, and skid steers, and managing inventory controls of truck and trailer parts. The candidate will also process all work order paperwork while ensuring a safe, clean, and organized work area.
**Responsibilities**
+ Diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including preventative maintenance, inspections, and repair to air and hydraulic brakes, tires, suspensions, and electrical systems, with safety as the top priority.
+ Identify, diagnose, and resolve tractor and trailer-related issues, such as speedometer, power steering, U-joint, and rear end.
+ Repair trailer components including doors, floors, and side panels.
+ Perform routine technical repairs and complete work orders.
+ Conduct general or routine welding with or without prints.
+ Maintain positive working relationships with team members and external vendors.
+ Contribute to the goals of the shop, leadership team, and company as a whole.
+ Document all work orders in detail.
+ Abide by all company policies and safety rules, ensuring a clean, safe work environment.
+ Act as a positive role model for team members, providing support, enthusiasm, and a positive work environment.
**Essential Skills**
+ Technical school certification or 1 year of relevant experience in medium to heavy-duty truck repairs.
+ Sound judgment and ability to make logical decisions.
+ Effective interpersonal skills for communication over the phone and face-to-face.
+ Time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
+ Ability to complete detailed work accurately and with urgency, prioritizing safety.
+ Self-motivated and capable of working independently while motivating team efforts.
+ Competency in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment repairs.
+ Proficiency in English, both verbally and written.
+ Skills in diesel, trailer repair, welding, brakes, diesel engine, DOT, tractor trailer.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Valid CDL and DOT physical card is a plus.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Rosemount, Minnesota.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $83000.00/yr.
