Southland Holdings is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator focused exclusively on water and wastewater treatment plant construction. This position supports estimating efforts for complex, process-driven facilities including treatment plants, pump stations, and advanced water infrastructure projects.

Qualifications
+ 7+ years of experience in water and wastewater treatment plant construction
+ 5+ years of experience estimating vertical and process-intensive treatment facilities
+ Proven success estimating $10M–$100M+ treatment plant projects
+ Strong technical understanding of:
+ Cast-in-place concrete tanks and treatment structures
+ Process mechanical systems and large-diameter plant piping
+ Equipment installation (pumps, blowers, clarifiers, filters, membranes, UV, etc.)
+ Chemical feed systems and yard piping
+ Working knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and controls scopes as they relate to treatment plant construction
+ Ability to read and interpret process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and technical specifications
Duties & Responsibilities
+ Lead estimating efforts for water and wastewater treatment plant projects, from conceptual budgets through hard bids
+ Review process drawings, structural plans, P&IDs, specifications, and bid documents to fully define scope and execution approach
+ Develop detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for:
+ Concrete basins, buildings, and below-grade structures
+ Mechanical process piping and equipment installation
+ Yard piping, site civil, and interconnecting utilities
+ Coordinate pricing and scope with process equipment manufacturers and specialty vendors
+ Perform risk assessment, constructability reviews, and contract evaluations specific to treatment plant work
+ Apply historical production rates and project data to labor and equipment planning
+ Evaluate alternative construction methods and sequencing to optimize cost and schedule
+ Review and incorporate permitting, environmental compliance, DBE, and regulatory requirements into estimates
+ Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor pricing for treatment-specific scopes
+ Prepare final estimates, pricing strategies, contingencies, and bid packages
+ Support buyout planning and turnover to operations after award
+ Serve as a technical estimating resource and mentor within the estimating team
