Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Treatment Coordinator – Brooklyn.
In this role, the successful candidate This role report to the Clinical Director of Operations with oversight and direction from the Associate Director(s). The Treatment Coordinator is responsible for dental program administrative duties and clinical coordination of pediatric patients in Brooklyn.
Job Responsibilities:
PROGRAM
Provides support and meets regularly with the AssociateProgram Director(s)
Provides administrative support to residents.
Coordinates local educational activities
May assist with proctoring exams
Supports Associate Director(s) with NewInnovations software for the site, including block schedules, evaluations, semi-annualreviews, milestones, advancement/onboarding/graduating residents (checklistsand reminders), etc.
Manage resident time keeping
Supports with annual block schedule and callschedules in conjunctions with Associate Director(s)
Support Associate Director(s) to ensure residents meet requirements forgraduation
Plans departmental annual events including orientationand interviews
Assists in monitoring residents duty hours andoperative/case experience via regular review of data reports
Responsible for answering calls/emails within a 48hour period
Transcribes, types, and/or proofs a variety ofmaterials: correspondences, letters, resident related material, spreadsheets,reports, surveys, meeting minutes, etc.
Creates presentations (PowerPoint) andspreadsheets (Excel) as requested
Performs other duties as assigned by the AssociateDirector(s)
CLINICAL
Work up Operating Room (OR) cases with residentsand independently
o Get Insurance approvals/ pre- authorizations forthe OR cases
o Schedule cases with OR and act as liaison betweenOR and residents/ attendings on all communications
o Coordinate and schedule pre- op visits and all follow up visits
o Coordinate PMD, specialty, and hospital clearances
o Coordinate cases with other medical and dentalspecialties
o Manage OR wait list with Associate Director(s)
o Scan any paperwork into medical record as assigned
o Communicate with patients and families as neededfor above
Sedation
o Get Insurance approvals and authorizations for theSedation cases
o Schedule cases for Sedation
o Coordinate and schedule pre- op visits and all follow up visits
o Coordinate PMD, specialty, and hospital clearances
o Coordinate cases with other medical and dentalspecialties
o Manage Sedation wait list with Associate Director(s)
o Scan any paperwork into medical record as assigned
o Communicate with patients and families as neededfor above
Manage the log of cases for appliancefabrication sent to lab and receivedfrom lab and coordinate appointments for delivery of the appliances
Anesthesia Consults
o Coordinate scheduling of A/C
o Follow up with missed visits and reschedule asneeded
Participate in department meetings as assigned
Coordinate scheduling of complex cases with othermedical and dental providers
Generate sealant lists and Follow up with patientsneeding sealants
Coordinate rotation schedules with AssociateDirector(s)
Follow up on approvals for pediatric dentalcases and schedule visits as needed forcontinuity of care
Follow up for Orthodontic referrals for carecoordination
Follow up and scheduling for Orthodontic appointments for continuity of care
Follow up and scheduling for Endodontic treated pediatric patients for continuityof care
Follow up and scheduling for Oral Surgery pediatric patients for continuity ofcare
Follow up andcommunicate with assigned patients as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration or related field or 3-5 years of office administration experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to organize information.
Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality.
Working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Suite.
Ability to make decisions independently or to escalate issues as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
FQHC or Hospital experience preferred
Experience working with New Innovations preferred.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $50,219.83 – $53,233.02 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
