Job Description

At Syngenta, our goal is to build the most collaborative and trustworthy team in agriculture, providing top-quality seeds and innovative crop protection solutions that improve farmers' success. To support this mission, Syngenta’s Treasury is seeking a Treasury Management Systems Coordinator in Budapest or Madrid. This role will provide end-to-end support for our SAP S/4HANA Treasury and Risk Management (TRM) landscape. Reporting to the Head of Treasury Operations, you'll serve as the critical link between Treasury, IT teams, and external vendors—ensuring system stability, coordinating change delivery, and driving continuous improvement across our global Treasury operations.

This role safeguards Treasury operational effectiveness by translating business needs into reliable system solutions, managing incidents and enhancements, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations that support high-value global cash flows and risk management activities.

Accountabilities:

System Support & Coordination

Ensure reliable day-to-day operations through structured handling of incidents, defects, and service requests.Serve as the single point of contact for Treasury Management System (TMS) support across Treasury, IT, and external service providers.Oversee testing, release readiness, and production stability to safeguard critical payment activities and Treasury operations.

Change Management & Enhancement Delivery

Coordinate and prioritize Treasury change requests and system enhancements aligned with business priorities.Translate Treasury business needs into actionable system and process solutions within the SAP S/4HANA TRM landscape.Ensure clear requirements definition, timely delivery, and escalation of risks when needed.

Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Engagement

Drive continuous improvement in system usage, processes, controls, and data quality.Build and maintain trusted relationships with Treasury stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.Support capability building through documentation, knowledge transfer, and user enablement.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.5+ years in Treasury, Treasury Operations, or Treasury Technology roles within a global organization.Proven experience working with Treasury Management Systems, preferably SAP TRM / SAP S/4HANA.Strong understanding of cash and liquidity management, foreign exchange, funding, and risk management processes.Demonstrated experience coordinating incidents, enhancements, and change delivery across business, IT, and external vendors.Strong functional knowledge of Treasury processes and controls.Solid understanding of Treasury system architectures and interfaces, ideally within SAP environments.Fluency in English (written and spoken) required.

Additional information:

Geographic Scope: Global role supporting HQ Treasury in Basel.Travel: Occasional international travel required to support Treasury and IT stakeholders and vendor interactions, primarily to Basel and India.Onboarding: The initial 2-3 months will be based in Basel for onboarding. Availability for international travel is required.
