We are seeking a dedicated Traveling Superintendent to oversee projects across various locations, including Tennessee and Kansas. As a Traveling Superintendent, you will initially familiarize yourself with our projects, clients, and job sites. You will then take the lead on future projects that involve commercial building within large industrial construction sites. The role requires a strong emphasis on safety and the ability to guide subcontractors in navigating compliance standards.
ResponsibilitiesServe as a liaison and guide to help subcontractors navigate paperwork and compliance standards.Oversee site safety to ensure adherence to the highest safety standards.Create, maintain, and review all project documentation.Manage project oversight, quality control, and scheduling.Communicate effectively with trades, subcontractors, clients, and owners.Manage project materials and subcontractors to ensure projects remain on schedule.Essential SkillsExperience in construction supervision and safety procedures.Proficiency in commercial and industrial construction.Expertise in subcontractor management and steel erection.Ability to read blueprints and manage ground-up construction projects.Willingness to work as a Salary Consultant/Employee on a 12-month Contract to Hire basis.Experience with companies like Kiewit, Black and Veatch, or Bechtel.Experience as a lead superintendent on projects of $50 million or more.Safety certifications such as OSHA 30+.At least 2 years of experience in pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) projects.Ability to work full-time as a traveling superintendent with a focus on site safety.5 years of experience as a Heavy Commercial or Industrial Superintendent overseeing entire projects.5 years of ground-up construction experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsNucor CICP (Contractor Installation Certification Program) is a plus.VP installer certification is advantageous.A degree in Construction Management is preferred.Experience with pre-cast building is beneficial.Work EnvironmentThis is an on-site position requiring five 10-hour workdays and potentially 8-hour Saturdays. Projects are located throughout the U.S., typically ranging from Utah to Florida, but future projects could be nationwide. The role involves hands-on learning from a lead superintendent set to retire, offering long-term growth opportunities. Benefits include a daily per diem, truck and phone allowances, PTO, and weekly pay even during site downtime. Employees are reimbursed for travel home every three weeks.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $200000.00/hr.
