Traveling Solar Commissioning Technician

Candidates should be based in any of the Western States in the US. + Competitive Salary: Earn between $80-85K annually, depending on your experience. + Great Benefits: Enjoy holiday and vacation time. + Long-Term Stability: This is a long-term contract position. **What We're Looking For:** We need someone with experience in either the WIND or SOLAR industry who can bring their expertise to our team. **Job Description:** As a Commissioning Technician, your goal is to ensure a positive experience for our clients. You'll be responsible for commissioning our products and installations, ensuring the highest quality work, and developing customer loyalty by optimizing our products to meet their needs. You'll provide exceptional onsite technical support services. **Key Responsibilities:** + Commission tracking equipment by plugging into a network switch and using a laptop for commissioning. + Use a scanner for scanning and an Ethernet cable for configuration. + Check with a fluke (low voltage, not connected to the plant electrical system). + Each job lasts 2-3 weeks, with flights home every 2-3 weeks. **Skills & Qualifications:** + Experience: 5 years of operations and maintenance (O+M) and/or commissioning experience. Solar experience is preferred but not required. + Technical Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems for O+M. + Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office/reporting. + Problem-Solving: Strong understanding of construction math and excellent problem-solving skills. + Independence: Able to work independently and maintain client relationships. + Certifications: Basic understanding of electrical systems and certifications like OSHA 10 or OSHA 30. + Travel: Willing to travel up to 100% of the time. **Perks:** + All hotel, flights, and per diem will be paid when traveling. + You'll be issued a company vehicle when traveling. **Keywords:** Operations and maintenance, commissioning, troubleshooting, technician, solar, wind, electrical, trackers, solar, wind turbines, renewable energy, alternative energy. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $38.46/hr.
