Traveling Quality Control Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a Traveling Quality Control Manager (QCM) to support a large-scale data center project worth around $1B in Montgomery, Alabama. RCDD Certification is preferred for this role but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and manage the six-step quality control/safety process, including site-specific quality programsLead weekly QC meetings and maintain the project Quality Process Log (QPL)Develop preparatory meeting agendas and participate in meetings prior to each definable feature of workInterface directly with owner’s quality assurance and management teams on all quality-related issuesReview inspection reports, punch lists, and close-in inspection resultsSubmit and review RFIs to ensure changes are implemented in the fieldCoordinate trade partner test and inspection schedules and document daily QC activitiesAudit trade partner QC procedures and report chronic issues to upper managementSelect and coordinate third-party testing agencies and verify adherence to standardsParticipate in source inspections and oversee QC personnel development

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent experience5–7 years of experience on large commercial construction projectsValid driver’s license and ability to travel extensivelyStrong communication and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel templates), Prolog, Primavera, and AutoCADRCDD Certification preferred but not required

Work Environment: This is a fully Traveling QCM role. The current project is in Montgomery, Alabama.

This is a Contract position based out of Montgomery, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $67.00/hr.
