Traveling Field Engineer
Job Title: Field Engineer (Traveling)Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Field Engineer to join our team. This role involves supporting the superintendent in various commercial construction projects along the east coast, ranging from interior renovations to ground-up projects with budgets between $1 million and $10 million. The Field Engineer will play a key role in subcontractor selection, budget and schedule creation, progress meeting coordination, permitting and inspection oversight, client communication, and document management.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in overseeing subcontractor selection and management.Create and manage project budgets and schedules.Conduct and facilitate progress meetings.Oversee permitting and inspections for projects.Maintain effective communication with clients.Manage construction documents including RFIs, submittals, and blueprints.Support the superintendent on-site, managing subcontractors and schedules.Essential Skills1+ years of experience in a field engineer or assistant superintendent role for a commercial general contractor.Proficiency in project management, construction management, and scheduling.Experience with RFI, submittals, and construction document management.Ability to read blueprints and manage document control.Additional Skills & QualificationsRecent experience overseeing commercial projects over $1 million.Experience in contractor selection and management.Skills in meeting coordination and facilitation.Estimating support experience is a plus.Work Environment

This position involves working both in an office located in Aberdeen and on project sites. The office environment is newly renovated and consists of a 10-person team. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bel Air, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
