TRAVEL- Weld Robot Maintenance Tech
**Job Title: Welding Robot Maintenance Technician (3rd shift 11p-7:30a)** **Pay:$34/hr** Travel Contract 6+ months LOCATION: Lexington, NC **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team, specializing in programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting robots and robotic weld machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth machine operations and quality welding processes. **Responsibilities** + Program, maintain, and troubleshoot robots and robotic weld machines. + Test production machines and equipment. + Operate basic machine functions and perform basic setup. + Position and secure parts in jigs or fixtures using layout marks. + Select appropriate torch, torch tip, filler rod, and flux according to specifications. + Connect regulator valves and hoses to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders, and welding torch. + Adjust gas mixture and pressure to obtain the desired flame. + Perform preventative maintenance on robots and robotic weld machines. + Participate in machinery installation, repair, and maintenance. + Inspect and measure welded workpieces for conformance to specifications. + Move robot controls and guides to adjust robots. + Replace worn machine accessories such as weld tips or nozzles. + Examine welds for bead size and other specifications. + Repair broken or cracked metal objects, fill holes, and build metal parts. + Clean or degrease parts. + Use basic tools to ensure accuracy. + Understand and properly use light guards and emergency stops for safe machine operation. + Comply with company handbook, OHSA, health and safety policies, and legislative requirements. + Ability to travel occasionally. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Robotics + Troubleshooting + Robot programming + Automation + GTW for traveling projects **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + College education in Robotics or Electro Mechanical Diploma. + Two to three years of experience in maintenance of robots. + Understanding of general welding theory and practical welding. + Robot programming course (Panasonic, Motoman, ABB, FANUC, or similar). + Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and electronic processes. + Ability to analyze program parameters and implement improvements. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Experience within a fabrication environment is an asset. + Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that offers multiple levels for advancement and pay growth.
