Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Scraper Operator responsible for cutting to grade by operating heavy machinery to manage and relocate earth. The primary objective is to level the terrain for further grading work. The work schedule is from 6 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential Saturday shifts and extended hours based on workload and weather conditions. The operator will conduct pre-inspections and end-of-day inspections of the machinery, reporting any issues to management.
Job Site Locations:
Will Start in Omaha Nebraska for Training and then be sent to one of the job sites in New Mexico OR Indiana
Responsibilities
Operate MTS 3630 Wheeled or Track Scrapers, and other heavy equipment as needed for rough grading.Manage fill and ensure accurate cutting to grade.Perform pre-inspection and end-of-day inspection of equipment.Report machinery concerns to management promptly.Drive across terrain, scraping and relocating earth as necessary.Comply with safety protocols and maintain awareness of surroundings.Essential Skills
3+ years of experience operating scrapers on commercial job sites involving mass grading.Proficiency in scraper operation, particularly with MTS 745 with pan CAT 627 or CAT 637.Experience in commercial and civil construction, grading, and earthmoving.Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with paddle wheel operation is a plus.Ability to operate off-road dump trucks and utility tractors.Adaptability to rough ride conditions of heavy equipment.Why Work Here
Benefit from $830 per week per diem and 54 cents per mile reimbursement for travel from Omaha, NE to job sites. Enjoy 20 to 35 hours of overtime per week. Opportunity to travel and work in various locations across the country.
Work Environment
Work in a civil construction site on a wide open space that was formerly farmland. Adhere to strict safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards. Maintain professional appearance and behavior as outlined in the Site Code of Conduct. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
