Department/Unit Overview: This Unit provides care to the following types of neuroscience patients:

Back and Neck surgical patientsEpilepsy patientsAll neurosurgeries ( brain, pituitary, etc.)Stroke patients ( surgical and non-surgical)

Education

Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required

Certification/Licensure

Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standingBasic Life Support (BLS)ACLSNIH Stroke Scale

Experience

Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience.
