We are seeking a Travel Pharmacy Tech to join our team!
Setting: Long Term Acute Care Hospital / Specialty Hospital
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 5x8's

Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, performs a wide variety of technical and clerical duties related to the hospital drug distribution system. Duties would include filling physician orders by preparing and distributing medications, including intravenous admixtures and extemporaneous drug preparations, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining confidential patient records. May participate in the hospital Antibiotic Stewardship Program with a focus on patient safety and public health.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Skills:Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) requiredMinimum of 2 years of recent hospital pharmacy technician experienceGraduate of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy technician training program (or equivalent experience)Active, unrestricted Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) through PTCB or ExCPTActive, unrestricted state license or registration (as applicable by state requirements)Additional Qualifications/Skills:Strong knowledge of medication preparation, distribution, and inventory controlExperience with automated dispensing systems (e.g., Pyxis, Omnicell) and electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC)Excellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare teamKnowledge of regulatory standards and hospital pharmacy compliance requirementsFree from illegal drug use and effects of alcohol in the workplace
