Travel Marketing Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Lead the development of full‑funnel marketing strategies across key travel segments.Translate consumer insights, member behavior, and competitive intelligence into actionable campaign plans and messaging.Partner with key stakeholders to define annual travel marketing strategies, KPIs, and growth opportunities.

Campaign & Channel Management:

Manage the strategy and tactical implementation of omni‑channel campaigns — including paid media, direct mail, influencer, email, social, landing pages, AAA.com merchandising, and in‑branch assets.Oversee campaign briefs, creative direction, segmentation, targeting, and performance optimization.Collaborate with Travel Services product ownersEnsure alignment between messaging, channel mix, offers, and customer journey by travel segment.Evaluate campaign effectiveness through KPIs, analytics dashboards, and financial performance.Recommend optimizations to improve conversion, reduce acquisition costs, expand retargeting pools, and enhance overall campaign ROI.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration:

Serve as the strategic liaison between Marketing, and Travel Services, Digital, and external agencies to ensure unified campaign execution.Lead cross‑functional planning discussions, ensure stakeholder alignment, and manage timelines, budgets, and workflows.

Production & Project Management:

Manage end‑to‑end production schedules for advertising materials including publications, direct mail, email, brochures, landing pages, and social media.Request cost proposals from printers and agencies, manage budgets, and ensure on‑time delivery of all assetsLead tactical discussions with internal departments and business lines to ensure alignment of marketing and promotional efforts and on-time delivery of advertising campaigns.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related discipline or equivalent.5 + years related work experience (preferably with travel industry experience); demonstrated success with marketing production and implementation.Proven success leading marketing strategy and full‑funnel campaigns.Experience with segmentation, personalization, and performance‑driven media strategies.Experience managing integrated campaigns across digital (SEM, social, display, retargeting), email, and printThorough knowledge of marketing theory and tactics, as applied to Travel Services marketing and promotions.Experience managing fast-paced production timelines and multiple projects within budget.Current and relevant knowledge of digital marketing channels including Search Engine Marketing, Social Media, etc.Thorough knowledge and understanding of the travel industry preferred.Strong ownership skills with the ability to influence people and outcomes, and to articulate desired direction through gaining consensus on how to best proceed.Strong communications skills that encourage open dialogue and collaborationAbility to quickly develop innovative and creative marketing approaches to increase sales in a cost-effective manner.Excellent writing, creative briefing, and messaging skills.Proficiency in MS Office Suite with expertise in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.  InDesign, Adobe Pro, Workfront and/or HTML experience a plus.
