Job Description:Provides technical and analytical support to the trauma program's performance improvement program. Includes data abstraction, analysis, and data reporting. Participates in the trauma center's verification process and site visit.

Job Description

The Trauma Registrar is responsible for working with members of the trauma program to ensure compliance with the trauma performance improvement plan and trauma center verification standard. As the Trauma Registrar, you will abstract patient data and enter their details into a database. This person is responsible for creating reports and analyzing data for the department.

Required Education:

Associates degree in Health Information Administration or equivalent in another healthcare related field.

Required Experience:

Experience working in a healthcare setting with clinical, quality, or financial systems.This experience can include but is not limited to Health Information Technology, Health Information Management, or Coding, including as a clinical coding specialist, certified professional coder, or certified coding assistant

Hybrid Nature:

Position is predominantly remote with occasional site visits. Preference will be given to candidates within our service areas (Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin)

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:No licensure requiredEmployees will be required to become a Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist within 5 years of hire.
