Transportation Supervisor

The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely shipment of all customer orders while ensuring operational efficiency within the Shipping Department. This role provides daily leadership to team members, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with all company policies, procedures, and World Wide Business Standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong problem‑solving skills, a solid understanding of shipping operations, and the ability to maintain a productive, positive work environment.\n\nEssential Responsibilities & Accountabilities\nOperational Leadership\nEnsure all customer orders are shipped accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.\nSupervise one or more functional areas within a multi‑building Shipping Department.\nMaintain a complete working knowledge of all shipping processes, systems, reporting tools, and vendor requirements.\n\nTeam Management\nHire, train, and develop new team members.\nConduct performance reviews, recommend wage adjustments, and monitor attendance.\nAddress early‑stage employee relations issues and support conflict resolution.\nWork alongside staff as needed to meet departmental workload and service expectations.\n\nPerformance & Process Improvement\nTrack daily, weekly, and monthly labor usage and productivity to meet or exceed established budgets.\nIdentify, research, and resolve issues that impact accuracy, efficiency, or workflow.\nMaintain awareness of how Shipping operations affect both internal and external customers.\n\nCompliance & Standards\nEnsure all work meets company standards for quality, productivity, and accuracy.\nPerform all tasks in alignment with company policies, procedures, and World Wide Business Standards.\nUphold workplace behavior expectations and support a safe, respectful, and compliant work environment.\n\nAdditional Responsibilities\nParticipate in special projects and cross‑departmental initiatives as assigned.\nPerform other duties as needed to support departmental and organizational goals.

Must Have\n- Prior leadership experience 5-10 years where they have built, lead, and managed a team\n- Experience with international shipping \n- Experience with shipping hazardous materials

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
