About Your Role:
As a Transportation Coordinator at Dollar Tree, you’ll support transportation operations by coordinating outbound shipments and ensuring accurate, timely communication across stores, distribution centers, carriers, and internal teams. Your work helps maintain service standards and operational efficiency. Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Transportation Coordination & Execution:
Coordinate outbound and backhaul freight assignments to support transportation operationsMaximize truck utilization while supporting cost control effortsConduct tracking and tracing of deliveries and transportation equipmentMonitor carrier performance and ensure compliance with delivery protocolsData Accuracy & Documentation:
Perform accurate data entry across transportation systemsEnsure accuracy of carrier invoicing within transportation systemsSupport claims processes and maintain proper documentation for creditsOperational Support & Compliance:
Analyze operational trends and assist with process improvement effortsFollow safety procedures and promote a clean, organized work environmentAdhere to company policies and perform other duties as assignedYour Required Skills and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred3–5 years of customer service experience preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointAbility to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writingStrong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and qualityAbility to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting, walking, standing, climbing, stooping, and kneelingWillingness to work shift hours, overtime, weekends, and holidays as neededPreferred Requirements:
