Job Description
Join a dynamic team as a Logistics Specialist within the Transportation Operations team, where you will play a pivotal role in managing daily freight movements in and out of North American fulfillment centers. Responsibilities
+ Coordinate daily freight movements to ensure high levels of customer service.
+ Engage in continual tactical communication and account management with external customers, including carriers and vendors.
+ Extract data from multiple databases using tools such as Excel, Access, and SQL for ad hoc reporting and analysis.
+ Review appointment and arrival data, making business decisions and process improvements based on findings.
+ Create narratives outlining weekly findings and variances to goals, and present these in review forums.
+ Work within time constraints to meet critical business needs and measure performed activities.
+ Lead initiatives to re-engineer business processes, identifying and eliminating root causes of defects to drive efficiency.
+ Systematically escalate problems or data variances to relevant owners and follow through on resolutions.
+ Develop performance metrics to assist in driving business results.
+ Collaborate with tech teams to scope business and functional requirements for software systems and tools.
+ Quickly understand business impacts of trends and make data-driven decisions.
Essential Skills
+ Customer service with a focus on operations.
+ Proficient in Excel and MS Office Suite.
+ Strong computer and technical skills.
+ Problem-solving abilities in logistics and transportation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in transportation and logistics is a plus but not required.
+ Customer service experience, particularly in de-escalating and problem-solving.
+ Analytical experience is beneficial.
+ Ability to manage customer accounts, resolve conflicts, and handle escalation calls.
Work Environment
The position requires working 100% in-office with hours from Monday to Friday between 8 am to 4:30 pm.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
