Job Title: Transportation EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Transportation Engineer to join our team. This position offers the exciting opportunity to work on both small and large roadway, trail, and transit projects in urban and rural settings across Maryland and other areas of the Mid-Atlantic region. The work location can be remote or based in Baltimore, Maryland.

ResponsibilitiesPerform roadway, highway, and trail geometric design.Model projects in MicroStation using the latest software.Prepare construction documents and cost estimates.Perform fieldwork to collect data or observe projects under construction.Collaborate with a group of experts to meet client expectations.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years of experience designing with MicroStation on transportation projects.Experience in the design of horizontal and vertical roadway alignments.Proficiency in roadway, civil, and highway design.Knowledge of traffic engineering and pavement design.Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.Additional Skills & QualificationsLocal DOT or MDOT experience is preferred but not required.Experience with stormwater and traffic management.Professional Engineer certification is advantageous.Work Environment

The team is composed of about 15 people based in the Hunt Valley Office. The company is a small, local firm with a reputable presence in the transportation sector, known for winning numerous projects. The firm holds an 8A certification and has a significant backlog of work.

This is a Permanent position based out of Cockeysville, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
