Our client is seeking a Transportation Design Engineer to perform highway/structure engineering design, including engineering computations, cost estimates, checking, report writing, etc. As a Transportation Design Engineer, you must have knowledge of highway/structure engineering and design codes and the ability to perform moderately complex highway/structure engineering design tasks independently. The ideal candidate will have ability to work independently & as part of cross-functional teams, able to work under minimal supervision and exhibit a high attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization. This position will require up to 70% travel.

Job Title: Transportation Design Engineer
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Pay Rate: Pay will be up to $42/hour (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

Participate in visits to project sites, project status meetings, and public meetings. Supporting projects related to steel girder design and load rating, concrete superstructure design, connection design, bearing design, abutment design, retaining wall design, and pier/foundation design and analysis
Requirements BS degree in civil engineering. Knowledge of Bentley MicroStation design software 2 -5 years of experience in design.
